My food is to do the will of him who sent me. (Jn 4:34)
I derive satisfaction from so many things, but I want to derive true satisfaction from doing the Lord’s will and completing his work. If there is a spiritual version of Maslow’s hierarchy I have it turned around. I put all sorts of things ahead of my most basic need: the spiritual sustenance of walking in his will.
